Pros

People are amazing to work with. Everyone helps each other so we succeed both individually & as a company. Work is fast paced and cutting edge! After Covid, Billtrust was able to adapt to become a "work from anywhere" company. Leadership is very, very transparent and upfront regarding company business. Leadership cares very much about employees well-being in addition to being business driven. The freedom to be creative & inventive within Billtrust is always taken into consideration to keep the company 2 steps ahead of the competition. As an employee, I really do feel like I contribute to Billtrust's overall success. Billtrust strongly & heavily encourages diversity, inclusion and equality for everybody! BT offers multiple programs which employees can be more involved in their desired interests & within our communities. Hands down, Billtrust is 1 of 2 of the best places I have ever worked at. I'm very fortunate & privileged to be working at Billtrust.

Cons

No cons to mention but as the company continues to grow, can Billtrust maintain the close culture which it has worked so hard for? With everything what Billtrust has done & accomplished, I don't want the company start to have that old style "corporate culture" environment kick in.

Pros

Good payment platform for mid-market companies

Cons

If you’re an experienced sales rep, avoid this company. They’ve gone through multiple structural changes over the last year, and another one appears to be coming soon. The PE firm already cleaned house across leadership and brought in a brand new executive team with little to no experience selling accounting software. The organization feels extremely disorganized. Expect heavy micromanagement through tools like Gong and Force Management training. AEs are treated more like glorified BDRs, while SEs control most of the sales cycle. Even getting deals approved internally is painful, with layers of unnecessary approvals slowing everything down. Hardly anyone on the net new logo team made quota last year, and this year appears to be trending the same way. Territories are divided using poor Salesforce data. Out of roughly 250 assigned accounts, maybe 30 actually fit the ICP. Training is practically nonexistent after they let go of most of the training staff, and marketing is ineffective. The one positive I’ll give Billtrust is that the product itself is solid. However, implementation costs can be absurd, sometimes costing more than the subscription fees themselves.
