Pros

The CPO / Co-Founder, Brad, really cares about the business and that shines through. It's great to see someone have a vision and stick with it. Also, a lot of the employees are great people. Very wonderful, talented, caring, and friendly workers!

Cons

I believe that at Birst there is NO: 1) Respect for talent, 2) Opportunity to develop or advance a career, 3) HR (or should I say HR that cares about people and doesn't make Sexually Harassing comments and degrade other workers), 4) Openness and trust concerning business updates, 5) Reliable or monitored system of feedback, 6) Office culture, 7) HAPPINESS!! HOWEVER, I DID SEE: 1) Unhappy employees, 2) Execs lose interest in customers once they were "closed", 3) Disrespect between departments, 4) Tension between management and those "below" them, 5) People get thrown-under-the-bus...a lot, 6) Employee's relatives receive special opportunities, and 7) Sexual harassment (against others and, unfortunately, towards myself). OH, AND I ALSO SEE SOMEONE MAKING "GREAT" REVIEWS FOLLOWING EACH NEGATIVE ASSESSMENT!!! PLEASE BE WARY AND VIGILANT OF THE NEGATIVE-POSITIVE-NEGATIVE-POSITIVE TREND....

Pros

-The people who work at Birst really do care for the company -The product is definitely one of the better ones on the market -There is plenty of potential -The next 2 years are a pivotal time for this company as it's really make it or break it. They'll either IPO or sink down

Cons

-Since the CEO has started, the company has been taking a more sales first approach which has resulted in overshooting and under delivering numbers to the board- this resulted in a 7% cut of the company in January -The Lead Development team got new management a few months ago. They have been implementing a lot of changes which have not only effected the lead dev team but also the outside sales team. They want robots who will leave behind their own sales methodologies and adopt the new challenger sales method. Changes are implemented one day and results are expected the next day. The outlook on this team is not looking good for at least the next 2 quarters. -No room for growth unless you've been at the company for 2+ years -Company acts like they're corporate when they're still a startup. Morale is really low. Culture is nonexistent. -The founders came from Siebel where it was more corporate and expect everyone to be serious 100% of the time -No training programs when you start. You're expected to come in and just know everything.
