Electrical Superintendent - Electrical Superintendent Blattner Company Employee Review

Very long hours, usually 12 -14 per day 6 days a week. They will expect you to work holidays, but leave you on site without your support staff. Additionally, every project is staffed minimally across the board. Long hours, extremely stressful and underpaid. This is why there are multiple projects failing across their wind portfolio. There is a ridiculous amount of busy work involved as well. They state that field managers are supposed to spend time in the field, but the amount of redundant data entry required makes that impossible. You will end up filling out 3 versions of the same documents all with the same information. Add in multiple meetings throughout the day, lack of field support staff, pile on quality management and tracking duties to superintendents (supposed to be field engineer's job) and they wonder why they are losing staff at an unprecedented rate. They dangle the prospect of promotion and bonuses in front of their employees, but don't reward the hard work they put in. Yes bonuses are paid. However, they are heavily influenced by other projects' successes and failures along with the number of recordable injuries. Basically, even if you put in the long hours, miss your family gatherings and seeing your children, your projects are successful but others aren't...you get a nominal bonus not worth the time you missed. This is NOT a family oriented company despite what they claim.
