Pros

Mostly solid field teams, perks made up for lower-than-industry-standard pay, free trip home monthly, mostly newer tools and equipment

Cons

Blattner grew too big too fast, and couldn't keep up. They hired people who didn't share their values and went from a jobsite mindset of Safety-Quality-Production to Production-quality-production. Jobsites quickly became over-budget and/or behind schedule. The solution to this? Throw a hundred men at a task for a month when 20 people could have done in two months if they'd been given proper leadership and guidance. Management cracks the whip and rides the laborers backs into success at the cost of 60+ hour work weeks and total loss of morale. Daily beratements and morale breakdowns where, no matter the production it wasnt enough, lead to long, long days. No one is groomed for advancement, ideas from the field are RARELY heard by up top, and the corporate office has NO idea how their projects actually get done. People don't leave jobs. They leave companies and bosses, and I sadly had to watch my favorite job and company devolve into chaos and anarchy because management couldn't schedule, plan, or execute correctly.
