Pros
Coworkers are great, donors are (usually) great to work with as well, I really like my supervisor, pay is very competitive, there are opportunities to advance in the company, it feels good to have a job that helps the community.
Cons
Scheduling is all over the place, it can be hard to get the days off that you want. Some shifts are really long- I've gotten home at 7pm after a 12 hour shift, and then been expected to be back at work by 5 am the next day. Donor services (as a department) doesn't get as much recognition or appreciation as other departments - despite being vital to the company's mission and a huge portion of their labor force. Health insurance options could be better. Attendance policy is *very* strict. Late arrivals are the #1 reason anyone gets fired from this job. (But they don't take write-ups for behavior nearly as seriously.)
