Pros

Location - easy access to public transport and a great neighborhood Name - a prestigious company Longevity - most people who make it in can stay for a long time Work day - 37.5 hrs, easy to do

Cons

There is no way to prepare or mold to the politics within this organization. You either are a very political (2-faced, deceptive, appearance over substance) person or you are not. If you are not - your skills, knowledge or work ethics mean nothing. Be aware - if you work here, you may be fired for doing things other people might consider smart. I.e. working from home after hours, making LinkedIn connections (take time to notice that people currently employed there have very weak LinkedIn Profiles), introducing yourself to others within the company (all introductions and interactions are directed).

Pros

Leadership is clearly making a genuine effort to improve workplace culture and is willing to model the behaviors and tools they encourage employees to adopt. This “practice what you preach” approach helps build trust and signals positive intent from the top. Compensation is above average compared to similar roles in the association space, which makes the organization competitive in attracting and retaining talent. Workplace flexibility is a major strength — employees are given meaningful autonomy in how and where they work. Additionally, the organization appears to take employee feedback seriously, particularly through engagement surveys and listening efforts.

Cons

Organizational change is frequent and often feels like the norm rather than the exception. Team structures and role shifts can be unclear, which creates uncertainty for employees trying to plan and prioritize their work. There have been multiple rounds of layoffs tied to restructuring, sometimes followed by rehiring for similar roles, which can impact morale and perceptions of stability. New tools, initiatives, or policies are occasionally introduced without full clarity on implementation or long-term strategy. There also seems to be a noticeable divide between leadership and individual contributors — in many cases, progress or approvals require escalation through leadership channels rather than being resolved at the working-team level.
