Pros

-The benefits look like a great offer at first. -Work like balance is good up until a certain point. -Some management deserves praise.

Cons

Where do I begin? -Turnover rate is insane in the Procurement Department due to lack of accountability among project management, engineering, and procurement planners. Management actively refers to Procurement as the “Meat Grinder” due to burnout, impacts on employee health, and turnover rate yet does nothing to improve the situation. -The benefits package is used to make you feel better about being underpaid compared to competitors. Sadly the only benefits that actually provide any value is the health care. You won’t find yourself using 90% of the other benefits used by management to out way your lack of salary. -Raises have been scarce and mediocre at best -The entire work environment is on edge after 3 rounds of voluntary and involuntary layoffs over the past few years. -Favoritism and elitism is rampant. Majority of the staff has been told promotions were on hold only to see favorited employees be made offers. -70% of management had no concept of work/life balance, maintaining a healthy work environment, and lacked the basic principles of the department that they have been assigned to. -Don’t expect any consistency as management can’t decide what they want job duties, policies, and procedures to look like for more than a few months at a time.

Pros

Working at Boeing gives you hands-on experience on commercial aircraft, which is highly valued across the aviation and aerospace industries. Exposure to high-quality standards, FAA regulations, and precision manufacturing builds strong technical credibility.

Cons

Many assembly tasks can be repetitive, which may feel monotonous over time. Precision work is critical, so attention to detail must be maintained constantly.

Pros

Excellent work-life balance compared to many aerospace companies. Good benefits (healthcare, retirement, PTO).

Cons

- Five days per week in the office - Parking can be challenging. - Working across multiple time zones (U.S., Brazil, India) creates coordination overhead - Compensation is not competitive for the Seattle area. - Limited opportunities for meaningful career growth. While there are internal career paths, I haven't found many opportunities that align with the technical challenges and responsibilities I'm looking for - SPEEA's seniority-based structure can slow advancement for newer employees - Programs have very long development cycles, so it can take years to see your work become a finished product - Less exposure to cutting-edge technology than companies focused on emerging products (space, medical devices, AI hardware, quantum computing, etc. Significant bureaucracy and slow decision-making
