Pros

I am impressed with so much about this company. Leadership is inspiring and caring. Coworkers are all aligned with the mission. Work-life balance is generally on point except for a few crazy sprints. No sunday scarries here. I love my job.

Cons

I have been pondering why Bonterra has so many low Glassdoor reviews. For one, leadership doesn't solicit reviews, so there aren't the bulk additions of positive reviews you might see from other companies that balance things out. For another, a lot of Bonterra is built through M&A, which means inevitable change. Plus, things move fast around here. So if you haven't had to be flexible or work in startup-esque environments before, you might find this uncomfortable. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't let the lower reviews scare me away, because this is by far the best company I've worked with for a long time.

Pros

As a person, I felt well taken care of by my management chain. We were encouraged to explore and be vocal and I never felt micromanaged.

Cons

- Questionable payment structure for ICs (no bonus plan) - Leadership doesn't do much of anything but takes all of the credit while the rest of us get laid off - Like most companies run out of Austin, it's a cash grab at the top while ICs do all of the work with little direction
