Pros

Bonterra was formed out of several legacy organizations that really cared about their mission of making the world a better place. Though most of the people that made up those organizations have been laid off through several rounds of layoffs in the last 2 years, there are still a number of talented, caring individuals that work hard day in and day out to help the doers of good make a mark in the world.

Cons

Since coming in last summer, the new leadership team has displayed that they are only interested in getting rid of the current team members and bringing in their friends from former roles. Those friends get cushy salaries (often multiples of the people they are replacing) and the culture gets worse and worse with every round of layoffs (there have been 2 official and 1 ongoing in the last year).

Pros

As a person, I felt well taken care of by my management chain. We were encouraged to explore and be vocal and I never felt micromanaged.

Cons

- Questionable payment structure for ICs (no bonus plan) - Leadership doesn't do much of anything but takes all of the credit while the rest of us get laid off - Like most companies run out of Austin, it's a cash grab at the top while ICs do all of the work with little direction
