Pros

Easy job once you get the hang of it. Decent pay and company is constantly expanding. You also don't really get any of the bad retail shoppers as the store markets towards a certain demographic of hard working folks who have money and values. You get customers of all races but they are always quality people so you never have to deal with a lot of the bad side of retail customers.

Cons

Company structure is different from Big Box retailers. The store managers typically have very limited authority in the store. The District Manager is basically the final authority on everything. District Managers way too hands on and micro managing aspects of each stores day to day ops. Staffs skew heavy towards women so if you are a man, it can be difficult dealing with the drama and workload. Terrible schedule, and the scheduling process leaves in the dark week to week more than not.

Pros

The work is extremely easy and repetitive. The supervisor on my shift is very understanding, they have a lot of game days for the holidays.

Cons

A lot of racism and favoritism kind of like high school, majority of the warehouse doesn’t speak English only the supervisors and upper management. They encourage laziness and over work the decent workers, if it’s a problem with anything it is not taken seriously or correctly once the senior manager don’t like you he tries to intimidate you and you can forget about ever getting a promotion. If you ever get a write up they never fall off and they will never let you become a lead or anything else no matter if it’s over attendance an accident anything it’s not in the policy but that’s the excuse they give so no room for growth people are really lazy sitting all around on there phones or hiding in the bathroom for hours it’s never addressed just more work for the decent workers no structure a lot of people there are friends and family so like I said it’s never any discipline. You can get hired and become a lead the next day without knowing a thing and they expect you to train them a big big turn over rate the lack of leadership is what makes the job unbearable. The benefits suck as well I pay for the highest plan but my out of pocket cost is still always extremely high and it’s no 401k plan either
