Pros

You get experience in different areas

Cons

A lot of ageism going on here. Old timers who have been working at BCH their entire careers and can’t go anywhere else rub their misery onto other staff. Staff will throw other staff under the bus for petty things and management promotes a toxic “staff against other staff” environment. Pay is the lowest in the entire front range yet staff act like it’s a very “prestigious “ place to work. There is an entire wall of negative memes in the department that screams run away as soon as you walk in. I’ve worked minimum wage jobs with much better management than I’ve seen here.

Pros

Good health benefits and good dental benefits for the money paid out. Loved that BCH waived copays for employees and their families when we saw BCH providers.

Cons

Upper management was often dismissive and uncaring. Other managers in my group cared more about their budgets than their employees. I was an outcast as I really did care about my employees and wanted to make sure they knew that. Some of the providers that worked there were bullies. I was often bullied by several of the providers in that practice and once was accused of lying about an illness and the reason that I was not in the clinic that day. Very nosey too, always wanting me to give them information on why a staff member was out and when they would be returning, which was a violation to the staff’s medical privacy. Several of the providers were in a competition with each other to see how many patients they could see in a day regardless of how good patient care was.
