Pros
Good people and nice culture. Third Thursday events are fun and there’s always a nice summer outing planned.
Cons
What a heartbreak Brainshark turned into. The best talent walks out the door and along with it goes the fresh ideas and new ways of thinking. The product isn’t evolving fast enough and has become unstable. The sales organization has some really great talent, but just when the team started making momentum in all the right areas, they hired a bully of a CSO. The executive team claims to be transparent but they focus on politics and playing games. The CEO let’s the CSO dominate him. Sales managers go to Presidents club because they’re friends with the CSO, even though their team didn’t hit their number. It’s unbelievably unprofessional at the executive level - during sales kickoff, they’re too hung over to join the rest of the sales team, so they sit out in the lobby laughing at stories of their escapades the night before. Oh yeah, don’t report anything to HR as the director will immediately run and tell everything to the CEO and her best friend the CSO. Toxic environment. Nice to have product. Sinking ship.
