Pros

Lots of overtime, decent benefits and 410k

Cons

If you don’t have a degree you’re going to be stuck in the field for many years. DOESNT matter what’s on your resume. You can have a degree in social science and you’ll move up faster.Company slow to move you up the ladder otherwise .They make inexperienced people foreman/general foreman , who can’t even read blueprints let alone run a crew. Foreman run to the office for brownie points because they can’t run men.Superintendents (most) are control freaks who won’t listen to more experienced field workers. Ego?Job fear? Absolutely! Management doesn't hold field workers accountable for anything, especially if you’re in the good ol boy click or Spanish . If you’re from the north, don’t waste your time. A quote from Senior Superintendent ”there’s no growth for Yankees in this company” .

Pros

Great people, environment, and culture. Great Benefits for everyone.

Cons

Training can be scattered and harder to achive, with the rapid rate of the work load. Just ask questions and you'll be good.
