Minimal career advancement of non-fundraising staff. Executive Directors can make or break a chapter. Flagrant abuse of timecards / work from home policies. Significant corporate waste (i.e. if there's money in the expense budget, we may as well spend it).
National office restructures every 2-3 years. In my time, I saw 3 CEO's, 3 CFO's, 2 Chief HR's, plus countless mid-management churn. Personally had 3 direct supervisors.
CRM is a mess, first heard of the project 10 years ago and it's still going on.
HR Dept is good at sounding like they care, but no actions seem to happen to the staff that need the change. Interview/onboard process varies significantly chapter to chapter (you can be hired if you're friends with the ED, likewise the interview process could take several weeks if you're coming in cold).
Internal communications could be vastly improved, no standardized way of disseminating info, company intranet outdated.
As other reviewers mentioned, lots of telecommuters with no clear duties. No easy way to determine who does what when someone leaves (and no announcement of such). You just get the auto-responder "X is no longer at JDRF".
