Pros
Strong commitment to mission permeates culture. Partnerships with volunteer leaders makes work meaningful. Very good benefits. Exceptional teams/colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Cons
Dealing with tough issues and tough decisions resulting from COVID, so organization is going through transformation. A lot of uncertainty with new leadership in all c-level positions. I know leadership tries to be transparent about new direction, but they could do better and trust staff more. All this change was inevitable (and JDRF is not alone in this, certainly)... but it will be interesting to see if JDRF loses some of its grassroots culture. Nevertheless, this is always a nonprofit to watch, as I have complete confidence they will always put mission first.
