Pros
I found JDRF to be an empowering place where one could see the organization’s mission put to work and fully realized. Individual’s strengths were always celebrated and encouraged rather than being stifled by normal corporate-type norms.
Cons
I found most of the leadership team to be quite supportive and empowering but I feel the CEO lacked the experience needed to lead such a big organization. It’s important for leaders to have people surrounding them that will challenge in a positive way and not surround oneself with those that will always be in agreement.
