Pros

Company Culture and Career Opportunities: A Detailed Look at Internal Mobility and Compensation at Bridgecrest. At Bridgecrest, the company culture is deeply ingrained, with the vast majority of departments being in-house rather than outsourced. This provides employees with ample opportunities to explore different roles and move to new departments within the organization. One of the standout features of working at Bridgecrest is the flexibility in scheduling. Employees have the option to choose from multiple schedules based on their preferences, tenure, and ranking, and the company strives to accommodate the schedule that works best for each individual. In terms of compensation, as of May 2024, new hire Loan Advisors at Bridgecrest start at $22 per hour. With performance-based metrics, employees have the potential to receive a $1 raise within the first three months. So, while at $23, an additional $1 raise is possible after six months, and further increases are attainable through annual reviews alongside the every 6 months $1’s. With dedication and success in meeting targets, employees have the opportunity to earn close to $27 per hour within a year and a half of starting at the company. Your peers become like family. I’ve traveled to Disney with co-workers, gone on hiking adventures and just met some great friends.

Cons

1. Lack of work-life balance: Corporate environments often require long hours and intense workloads, leading to burnout and difficulty in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. 2. Office politics: Corporate environments can be filled with office politics, favoritism, and competition, making it difficult to focus on the job at hand. I was promoted to a new department in my last 6 months where my peers did not like me and this made coming to work very difficult. 3. Lack of job security: Corporate environments can be unstable, with frequent layoffs, restructurings, and changes in management, leading to uncertainty about job security. 4. Limited room for creativity: Corporate environments often prioritize conformity and following established protocols, limiting opportunities for creativity and innovation. 5. Bureaucracy: Corporate environments can be bogged down by red tape, hierarchy, and rigid processes, making it difficult to get things done efficiently. 6. Lack of autonomy: In corporate environments, employees may have limited control over their work and decision-making, leading to feelings of powerlessness and frustration. 7. High stress levels: The fast-paced, high-pressure nature of corporate environments can lead to high levels of stress and anxiety among employees. 8. Limited opportunities for advancement: In competitive corporate environments, it can be challenging to advance in your career, especially if you are not part of the inner circle or do not have a strong network. 9. Lack of diversity and inclusion: Corporate environments may lack diversity and inclusion, leading to feelings of isolation and discrimination among employees. I was promoted to a new department after 5.5 years and suddenly each day became more isolating. 10. Lack of job satisfaction: The rigid structure and focus on profit in corporate environments can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and disengagement among employees.
