Pros

•   The frontline clinical staff at Brighton Hospice are truly exceptional. They care deeply about their patients and each other, and they continue to show up with heart despite the challenges happening behind the scenes.    •   Many team members go above and beyond to uphold the mission of hospice care even without the support they once had.    •   Families still receive compassionate care because of the dedication of individual clinicians, not because of organizational leadership.

Cons

Cons    •   Since the merger with the new parent company, nearly all of Brighton’s strong, steady, and respected leaders have left. The leadership bench that once made Brighton great has essentially disappeared.    •   The new leadership culture feels reactive, siloed, and unwilling to stick their necks out for the very clinicians who keep this organization running. There is no longer a sense of psychological safety or advocacy for the people doing the hard work.    •   The focus has shifted dramatically toward sales and marketing, while clinical teams are often overlooked, unsupported, and stretched thin.    •   Decisions now feel driven by numbers and optics rather than quality, integrity, or the lived reality of bedside work.    •   The direction of the organization appears off-course—prioritizing growth over the well-being of staff and the dignity of patient care.

Pros

It is a peaceful and welcoming environment. Management takes the time to make sure that their employees are doing well. They are always asking what they can do to help us and fulfill their end when field staff asks for help. Management isn’t afraid to come out onto the field to help us with our visits. Nurses and management will both go in and do CNA visits without hesitation. This company truly invests in their employees. They allow us the opportunity to increase our visits to 5 times a week which allows us to spend actual quality time with our patients. Despite the lower compensation, this company makes it worth being a part of the team. They allow for opportunities to get your full 40 hours even if you have a light schedule. They do an amazing job keeping you as close as possible to home and will ask if you are willing to travel out of your territory. Higher mileage compensation compared to other companies.

Cons

They are a lower paying company compared to other hospice companies. The coverage area is huge. The company doesn’t have company provided vehicles.
