Pros

- The people, the coworkers who aren't in management are good. - The talent managers are generally good. - The worklife balance is good when you are not commissioning. No other pros.

Cons

I could go on and on. - The management, the entire C-suite needs to get replaced with competent managers, preferably ones that aren't there simply because of seniority, with the exception of the CEO who genuinely cares. - every single project feels like it's one step away from utter failure, consistently. - The pay is far lower than most other jobs for sdev in the relevant areas. - The advertising of remote is a lie when you are working via commissioning on a project. - They justify the low pay with the idea of commissioning which is you going on site and getting a 25% premium, despite the job posting advertising remote. - In some cases, commissioning means flip flopping between 9am-5pm work to 9pm-5am on a bi weekly basis. - I was lucky, I had a manager that would consistently go to bat for me, but if you have a more apathetic one, you would suffer and be neglected. - They drive home about how everyone has been through the gauntlet; while you are working 9pm-5am some c suite is complaining about having to travel between offices to see what other teams are doing (their whole job).

Pros

Here are 3 pro's. They have an amazing family atmosphere. Everybody is helpful but there are also some that are micromanagers. Next, events are hosted from time to time so a lot of members have a buddy buddy type relationship. Lastly, they have talent managers to keep you in check. They want to make sure you have everything so you perform your job at a satisfactory level.

Cons

Talent managers have a good side, and a bad side. They won't hold back when it comes to reviews and underperformance. If needed, they will report your underperformance to HR if it gets to that level.
