Pros
- it's in Kitchener - airports are interesting
Cons
- IT keeps trying to block music streaming sites and generally forbids streaming - overtime is not rewarded but instead is supposed to contribute to flex-time allowing you to take days off. It seemed like it was good but really isn't because they start demanding hours that are NOT worth doing; and good luck getting time to take off, because it won't be when you want it. - low pay because they intend to only hire people willing to work for cheap, generally speaking, college co-ops and new grads are hired a lot - benefits are not very good, they require attendance tracking if you want to claim $30 a month of your gym membership (or whatever else) - no RRSP program, instead they have a retirement plan that you can use after 2 years in. - long term disability benefits come off your pay - majority of people are gone within 2 years (low pay and lack of opportunity is a big reason); as a result, there are way too many inexperienced developers - dumb coding standards are enforced - majority of code reviews are entirely about whitespace
