Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback -- I appreciate your transparency and constructiveness. I agree with you on your thoughts around our company mantra and the quality of the products we make, so I'm glad you witnessed that. I think the passion and enthusiasm our team has for the run manifests itself in the incredible shoes and apparel we develop and correlates directly to the amazing success we've been having over this decade. I'm likewise pleased you could see the appreciation of a healthy work-life balance at Brooks. I deeply believe that a happy and healthy life includes making time to stay active, pursue passions, and spend time with friends and family.
Regarding accountability, across the board this is an area we are all committed to improving. Our strategy calls for a flat organizational structure with distinct functional roles and responsibilities. The focus is on empowering people with clear accountabilities and line of sight to drive ownership for functional excellence. In a fast-moving space like digital, this is even more critical. As I see it, a big part of getting better here is thinking beyond ourselves and carefully understanding how our work intersects with and affects the work of others. As we get better at this and our perspectives broaden, our hand-offs will become smoother, our processes will become clearer, and our problem solving will be quicker and more insightful. One of the ways we're solving this specifically for BrooksRunning.com has been through the recent creation of our V Team, whose primary purpose has been to better integrate our Digital Products, Marketing and eCommerce teams, creating shared goals, clear ownership and accountability, work flows and overall improved cross-functional alignment. I'm excited to see this effort progress!
Again, thank you for this feedback. I wish you success and happiness in your next adventure!
Jim
