Some nice perks, but absolutely no effort made to retain talent. Zero ability to move up within the company. - Anonymous Bungie Employee Review

Pros

~Great health insurance plan ~Passport dining card and gym membership ~Stock options for certain tiers of full time employees ~Overall, direct reports are friendly and knowlegable

Cons

~No upward mobility within the company. They act very encouraging, will even talk at length with you about advancing your career there, then pile on all the responsibility and work involved in a promotion without ever giving a title change or pay bump. ~Upper management is completely out of touch with the lower tier people in their departments, then feels qualified to make decisions on career affecting things such as layoffs and overtime seemingly without ever getting feedback from those supervising the employee and their team directly ~One on one reviews are nonexistent, most times even when performance feedback is explicitly requested ~Overtime for some departments can get completely out of control; for some teams it can get up to 20+ hours a day, 6-7 days a week.

Pros

The people are what made working at Bungie amazing, a lot of very smart & talented people.

Cons

A massive talent drain over the past three rounds of layoffs. Lots of fumbled bets by past leadership that lasted long after they left. The benefits used to be stellar but got reduced year over year after Sony acquisition due to 'belt tightening' & aligning to Sonys benefits. Future is very questionable for the studio.
