Thank you for taking the time to write your review of C-HIT, and thank you also for your service with C-HIT. Your feedback is very important to us. We are excited that you agree, C-HIT is a “Great place to work.” As you know, C-HIT is a small business, and while we have historically had success transferring individuals from one contract/project who have the skills and experience that match the needs of another project. Unfortunately, we do not always have open positions at any given point on other projects that can accommodate a transfer-in – which is a problem experience by most other Federal Government contractors. The development of our employees, and their career at C-HIT, is a primary concern and interest for C-HIT, which is why C-HIT provides a rich and comprehensive training and capability building program for all employees. Our capability building program includes free full subscription to CyberU online courses (over 1,500 courses) that employees can take on-demand, plus a budget of $1,500 per year to attend training or professional certification or conference, and participation in research and development and on-the-job learning. If you’d like to follow up regarding any feedback to C-HIT, please feel free to reach out to C-HIT’s HR department at any time. We’ll look forward to hearing from you. C-HIT is an EOE, including veterans and disability.

Pros

Current handling of C19 remote working situation has been outstanding. Decent marks for communicating, keeping people informed. Colleagues are fun, diverse, smart: a real pleasure to work with! Very flexible environment, for those with busy lives outside work. Has decent benefits, hosts both work and family activities, and contributes to local charities. We consistently succeed in delighting our client, which is a good indicator of our job security.

Cons

Several former colleagues I know (all women) experienced things very differently than what I did. Inconsistent when it comes to spending money on employees for training. It’s like, if it’s not their idea, they don’t want to spend the money. They also want the employees to spend their own money and apply later to get paid back. Some people have to work weekends and nights regularly. Management, while approachable, asks for input but usually ignores it when it does not fit their expectations. Significant nepotism among the upper level managers when it comes to hiring, but they are not as inclined to hire family members of lower level managers. There are currently only two contracts with one client, which is a bad indicator of our job security.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback about C-HIT. Your feedback is very important to us. It is very unfortunate that your experience with C-HIT, as you describe it, is strong and favorable, and you highlight some ongoing challenges that any progressive emerging company faces. C-HIT is committed to continuously growing and developing, and especially building the capabilities of our employees and leaders. As you probably are aware, some of C-HIT’s Company Values are “People,” “Drive,” and “Quality,” which highlight our passion for working as one team, holding each other to high standards, always improving what we do, and consistently striving to ensure that all staff at all levels of the organization are taking care of their responsibilities and demonstrating integrity in their work and their interactions with others. C-HIT cares about every team member, especially as we have been working 100% since March 2020, and we strive to ensure that all employees have a rewarding career experience, with plenty of learning and growth opportunities. Furthermore, C-HIT has an open-door culture where employees do have the ability to voice any concerns or questions about their career or experiences at C-HIT to either their direct manager, or HR, or an executive of the Company. We’d be happy to speak with you to discuss the specific details of your experience so that we can ensure that no other current or future employee experiences anything less than an exceptional career at C-HIT with in a positive and favorable work environment.
