Pros
-Ability to return home every night without major travel
-slightly higher than average pay scale
-decent insurance
Cons
-camera in vehicles were described as only for insurance purposes but record 24/7. The footage can be accessed at any time without employee knowledge or approval
-company does not supply toll tags but offers employee to use personal ones
-On call pay is extremely low for expecting technicians to sit around and wait for a call all week
-tool replacement policy States that tool will be sent to manufacturer for repair, if repair fails then company will provide "up to %50" of the cost of replacement (keep in mind employee paid for all tools
-if someone breaks into your vehicle while at home or at work, company will NOT replace or reimburse the employee for all tools lost. (Company recommends getting insurance for yourself for that)
-your drive time to and from work is NOT paid regardless if job site is 30 minutes away or 2+ hours away
-no technician supports such as boot voucher, tool loan, bereavement/grievance pay, etc)
-tool loan only lasts for 1st year of employment (only $500 and must be replenished from your paycheck week to week)
- if unsafe driving or working conditions exist such as ice on roads or rooftops, you will not be paid if it is unsafe to continue work
-if there is not enough work at all, you will not be paid
