Pros
Flexible work arrangements. AWS (Annual Wage Supplement). Bonus. Low salary. Opportunity to learn new things (in reality, this often means taking on other people’s workload). Once you take on the workload, it becomes your responsibility permanently
Cons
Incompetent managers and directors (many ideas are taken from others’ sharing or from the internet). Job scope keeps expanding exponentially. Employees sacrifice their personal time but receive no recognition. Salary is below the market rate. Directors and managers force employees to work overtime without off days, even when they are not obligated to do shift work. There is no overtime compensation or monetary support. Newly hired employees sometimes receive higher salaries despite being incompetent. Retention promises are not fulfilled. No opportunities for promotion. Only managers have time to attend courses while the staff continue to handle the workload. Employees are required to hand over work to incompetent colleagues and are then blamed without reason. You are unable to focus on assigned projects because you must take care of other people’s work. You cannot focus on your main role and are forced to support multiple departments.
