Pros
Good money; interesting problems, although certainly not cutting edge. A feeling of community remains from the bad old days of Charles Wang and Sanjay Kumar, but later CEOs did their best to rub that out. Further along than most big companies in terms of applying agile techniques to legacy software.
Cons
Most products are walking dead -- saw Spectrum replace Unicenter, and in turn, it was replaced by Infrastructure Manager (briefly) and then Nimsoft. Organic development of something wholly new was unlikely, although CA did manage to extend some acquired products.
