Layoffs happen annually at the end of every FY; if you have been an employee for a lengthy amount of time - 8+ years - you are not viewed as valuable, creative or "fresh." The aging workforce is a key target - your knowledge and experience means nothing - they will claim you are being let go due to geographic location and/or "skills." Senior leadership does not care about the people or culture - they are in it for themselves, the board and large shareholders. Its a shame as CA used to be a really great place to work!
