Employees are well compensated with a good benefits package Travel policies are not draconian as they were in the distant past Customers really depend on key products and the engineering talent is amazing what is left of it on those mission critical high revenue products

Job cuts twice a year since 2000 have destroyed morale and trust. The cuts seem more and more capricious or purely focused on cutting the most expensive employees. These have not been about removing dead wood for years. Management more concerned with protecting themselves from blame for past bad decisions than accepting input from employees and customers on products and strategic direction that was deemed unacceptable (CA CHORUS for the mainframe is now laughable) Empty and shrinking offices not a fun place to work in
