Pros

The people in the trenches are wonderful to work with. Great friendships and dedication to help one another.

Cons

Once ADP spun the Dealer Services division off and formed CDK, it was a fast moving downward spiral. Layoffs roughly every quarter for nearly the last 4 years. Many of my talented colleagues gone. "Team India" being ramped up at a feverish rate. US jobs being replaced by Team India. US employees traveling to India to train them on their jobs, and then being replaced by them. Greedy execs. Go look at the obscene pay increase that Brian MacDonald received last year. About a 3 fold increase on the backs of laid off talented people. You're welcome Brian. I could go on about the short comings of this once great company. Steadily decreasing benefits with increased cost, diminished vacation policy, etc... If you think this place might still be OK, go check out the top worst places to work. Two of Brian MacDonald's companies that he has run are on that list. A real great leader he is...HAHA

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits (if that outweighs a toxic culture for you. My time at CDK has shown me what good leadership does NOT look like.

Cons

Leadership and management culture were the biggest issues. Poor managers are protected and good employees are left carrying the consequences. There is a strong culture of micromanagement, shifting expectations, and documentation over development. Honest feedback wasn't valued and accountability seemed to stop at management. Over time I watched team morale suffer, trust disappearing, and fellow talented employees leaving in sake of their sanity.
