Pros

Variety or projects (if you know the right people in the firm) Technical exposure

Cons

1. The variable compensation component sounds attractive in the beginning, who doesn't want to be paid for overtime? Yet, for some reason, despite efforts and hours put in I somehow always manage to end up without a bonus - also the accounting team is VERY unresponsive. Good luck getting one of the internal accountants to answer any of your questions. 2. Benefits are terrible: 2a. Health insurance is expensive and they don't offer partner coverage 2b. 401k matching is non-existent in the first year, and company will only match in year 2 - but don't even think about leaving before April 1st or else you'll lose the benefit 2c. Salary increase has been on the 5% mark. Also initial offer wasn't nearly as good as my friend's, who also came from Big4 and went to work for one of competitors 2d. No profit sharing 3. Lack of transparency from upper management, work environment is just OK - really depends on your team, but most people are full of themselves. 4. Technology is archaic at this firm. We don't even have access to adobe products, yet upper management loves talking about efficiencies. Give us the tools then!

Company truly values strong contributors and differentiates in pay compared to average performers. They value agency & individual owners/contributors to their respective practices

Cons

Promotion from Director to MD may not have an overall pay increase depending on total commissions and OT you were earning before at Director that are not applicable at MD
