Pros
Company culture is fantastic. Very open, supportive. All about helping everyone succeed. Monthly all company meetings keep you abreast of what's happening and in the loop on directions and progress. Benefits package is great and things like PTO accrual start from day one. People are smart, supportive, helpful. Everyone is collaborative and glad to assist. People really care about each other as people as well as co-workers. It really is like an extended family - the good type, that's out there rooting for each other's success. The work takes place in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. New challenges to conquer, intriguing puzzles to solve, and great interaction with others in the organization. Innovation not only supported but encouraged in making better mousetraps. Lots of opportunities to grow with the company and move into different positions if that's your goal. When Covid-19 shut down offices across the country, I was struck by how little had to be done to transition CIC Plus employees from office to home. At that point many people were already home-based and others who worked in our offices, were already setup to work from home at least part-time. So, as an IT Help Desk Analyst, the updates were trivial - like getting additional equipment shipped out to people's homes or arranging certain IP addresses to be whitelisted. In contrast, so many other companies struggled with how to setup VPN's and everything else needed to work from home from scratch.
Cons
Because growth is constant, once in a while, company changes outpace our ability to fully document or communicate new "ways and means" to everyone. In that sense, it can be a bit like the wild frontier.
