Great people and benefits - Marketing Coordinator Caesars Entertainment Employee Review

Pros

Great benefits (you do pay some for insurance) such as medical, dental, vision, 401K, and discounts on rooms and in the community-- nice people, and lots of career options--one can go into gaming, marketing, hotel operations, or food and beverage. Office workers enjoy casual Fridays and the whole casino often participates in charity days where everyone that makes a donation can wear denim. Harrah's is involved in the community--there are plenty of volunteer activities that come up throughout the year.

Cons

Not having holidays off, high turn-over, increasing insurance costs, subject to corporate America layoffs, a lot of people disapproved of working in the gaming industry, being around smokers if you work on the floor.

Pros

Peers and teammates are supportive of each other. For a digital organization, the pay was very good but I believe they've significantly reduced salaries. Some of the managers were very good.

Cons

The Caesars Digital team operated in a flat organization, where some GMs were trying to actively manage teams of 75-150 individuals. Career growth is almost non-existent as a result. C-suite management was non-existent and came from finance or hospitality backgrounds. Org success was purely tied to annual EBITDA and without understanding of how a digital/engineering organization should be run, resulting in disconnected employees (most of whom were remote), lack of scalable structure, and zero oversight.
