Pros

Co-workers, benefits, work schedule flexibility Over the years, I have made quite a few lasting friendships. You can't work someone for as long as I have and not feel a sense of family with those that you work with. There is lots of diversity amongst the employees, which has been great. The benefits are extremely good with 4 weeks of vacation after 4 years and 5 weeks after 14 years of employment. Health benefits are competitive and they offer a 401K. While workload is very heavy, they do currently offer the flexibility to work a day or two from home - and if you need to go to a Dr. or dentist appointment or take child somewhere, they are usually flexible, but this is something that is worked out between employee and supervisor. You do a good job and they generally reciprocate to assist you with what you need.

Cons

I have been with the company for a long time and have seen a lot of change over those years. Most of it has been really good. We got a new CEO a few years ago and then a new CIO. There is a lot of change going on now and it is needed since many of our systems are old and outdated. The manner in which it is occurring though is insane and setting us up for failure. The workload is not manageable. Leadership is lacking and we've gone from team building to finger pointing. It's put a strain on some of those friendships that I listed out as being a Pro. Many good, long standing employees have left the company over the last year or two and many have reported that it was due to 'boss too difficult to work with' and 'unreasonable expectations'. I have talked to so many employees that have become disengaged - they are simply putting in their time until something better comes along or they can retire - and these are people that have loved their jobs and the culture/family within Caesars. Ironically, the company is rolling out a culture training program. We used to have a great culture. I never knew we needed to be trained on how to treat people with respect. Now when I hear the 'Great job' comments, it makes me wonder if I've really done a good job or if it's just the 'culture training' speaking. I guess I shouldn't speak negatively on trying to fix something that currently is broken. The Project Management group hasn't managed a project for years. They handle the financials and line up a few resources. The whole process is full of paperwork that offers no value. Let's just cross it off the list of tasks to complete. There are product groups that have brought in their own project managers rather than deal with the ineffectiveness of that group. Many employees are not sure why we try to define scope within a project, because the business/project requester gets to change it at any time and no one questions it or tells them no. It is with heavy heart that I write such negativity, but it's hard to stay positive in such a negative environment, and after holding it in for so long, sometimes you just need to let it out.

Pros

They spoke of high opportunity for promotion or moving within company after 90 Days but did not stay long enough to see if that's true.

Cons

Very toxic culture. Many unprofessional colleagues with horrible language and work behaviors. Shady management who "throw you in" and don't properly train or coach. Management has perks like free meals whereas other employees are relegated to the soup line literally. Constant confusion and managers that think they are above first line employees.
