Due to the financial downturn and private equity owner mentality, increasing the organization focuses on cost cutting and tends to dismiss the long-term implications of these decisions. Universally there is a lack of accountability, lack of revisiting the business case of approved projects, and holding senior and junior management accountable for poor outcomes.
