Pros
H.R. does a terrific job screening for friendly people. A genuine comradery exists across departmental lines.
Cons
Absolutely no balance between your private life and worklife. Try not to plan anything at home more than a day in advance. A generous PTO benefit that you never get to use. Communication from the top down is sparce and slow to spead. Corporate types breeze through once or twice a year making big changes without knowing the local market, alienating customers and employees alike. Pay raises capped, exceptional performance not rewarded. Mid-management types in between a rock and a hard place in their relationship with subordinates.
