Pros

FEP and government programs lines of business had a multi-year focus on employee satisfaction that really helped shape the culture in a positive way!

Cons

Corporate changes are not always communicated and managed in the best way. With huge affiliations/change on the horizon it’s hard to say how employees will fare.

Thank you for posting a review. You are quite right that we are in the midst of much transformation - from our evolving health insurance industry to AI to affiliations with other Blues. Plus, as you mentioned, we are adjusting our hybrid work schedule to encourage more in-office collaboration. We've been working hard to uplift the accountability of directors and above to cascade more information and offer greater transparency to all employees. If you are not experiencing that, would you reach out to me? I'd appreciate hearing from you. Elizabeth Hall VP Employee Experience and Talent elizabeth.hall@cambiahealth.com

Pros

Some of the smartest bright-minded people in IT work there, or used to. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

The company appears to be in a constant state of reorganization, creating ongoing uncertainty about job security and contributing to low employee morale. This lack of stability has led to confusion, shifting priorities, and an overall lack of focus, which is reflected in the high turnover currently seen within the IT organization. This is especially disappointing because the company was once known for attracting and retaining IT professionals who built long, successful careers there. Leadership appears to lack a clear, unified vision, and that disconnect starts at the highest levels of the organization. Compared with the previous CEO, who despite his shortcomings was widely respected and viewed as an approachable leader, the current leadership feels much more removed from employees. There was once a stronger sense that executives understood and were connected to the day-to-day experiences of the workforce. Today, that connection feels significantly diminished, leaving many employees with the impression of a growing divide between the C-suite and the people doing the work. Honestly, it's quite sad what has happened to Cambia.
