Pros

Loved my team, loved my job, made contributions to the organization that endure to this day.

Cons

After nearly a decade of work, including implementing new programs and building culture, I was unceremoniously ousted by a toxic manager (who I am quite sure took delight in it), under the guise of budget/cost-savings. I gave blood, sweat and tears to the organization and endured a lot. Just don't expect any loyalty -- even if you are a consistent performer. If they feel you are used up, you're out. I landed on my feet, but for all the talk of palliative care, the concern for the "death" of an employee's job and the accompanying grief is nonexistent. It's something that I still grieve today.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I regret that your time at Cambia ended in a disappointing way. Thank you for contributing to the company for eight+ years. I'm not sure if your work focused on palliative care, but we continue to be committed to that initiative and the difference that it can make for a patient and their family. If you would like to share more about your experience, please reach out to me. Elizabeth Hall VP, Employee Experience elizabeth.hall@cambiahealth.com

Pros

Some of the smartest bright-minded people in IT work there, or used to. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

The company appears to be in a constant state of reorganization, creating ongoing uncertainty about job security and contributing to low employee morale. This lack of stability has led to confusion, shifting priorities, and an overall lack of focus, which is reflected in the high turnover currently seen within the IT organization. This is especially disappointing because the company was once known for attracting and retaining IT professionals who built long, successful careers there. Leadership appears to lack a clear, unified vision, and that disconnect starts at the highest levels of the organization. Compared with the previous CEO, who despite his shortcomings was widely respected and viewed as an approachable leader, the current leadership feels much more removed from employees. There was once a stronger sense that executives understood and were connected to the day-to-day experiences of the workforce. Today, that connection feels significantly diminished, leaving many employees with the impression of a growing divide between the C-suite and the people doing the work. Honestly, it's quite sad what has happened to Cambia.
