No paycheck on my last day - Anonymous employee Cambia Health Solutions Employee Review

Pros

They gave me a chance for few weeks.

Cons

I was let go because some of my colleagues complained that I am too abrupt when I talk, and one of the colleagues twisted what I said about some of the opportunities out there. My supervisor decided to listen to my peers over my words. She was determined to fire me from week one as she did not think I will fit into the department culture. I was told on my last day that there is a paycheck in the envelope they gave me. I didn't even check it before I left the building as I trusted that there will be a paycheck in there. I came home to only learn that there is no paycheck, only a pay stub of how much I should received. I never got kicked out of a company without getting paid. This is my first!

Pros

Some of the smartest bright-minded people in IT work there, or used to. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

The company appears to be in a constant state of reorganization, creating ongoing uncertainty about job security and contributing to low employee morale. This lack of stability has led to confusion, shifting priorities, and an overall lack of focus, which is reflected in the high turnover currently seen within the IT organization. This is especially disappointing because the company was once known for attracting and retaining IT professionals who built long, successful careers there. Leadership appears to lack a clear, unified vision, and that disconnect starts at the highest levels of the organization. Compared with the previous CEO, who despite his shortcomings was widely respected and viewed as an approachable leader, the current leadership feels much more removed from employees. There was once a stronger sense that executives understood and were connected to the day-to-day experiences of the workforce. Today, that connection feels significantly diminished, leaving many employees with the impression of a growing divide between the C-suite and the people doing the work. Honestly, it's quite sad what has happened to Cambia.
