Pros

My first two years at Cambia under my first supervisor were great. I was allowed to work independently and was successful in my work. My coworkers were kind, dedicated and great people to with. The pay was fair and you also get a yearly bonus. They have a great 401K match.

Cons

In 2023, top leadership in the Medicare product area were shown the door. The top two levels of leadership are all gone. They have also started getting rid of the “little” people as I was also arbitrarily fired after working for the company for more than three years. Please be aware this is a definite possibility if you decide to work here. The sales team also has a constant turnover. The health insurance is more expensive and benefits are not as good as other health insurance companies.

Pros

Some of the smartest bright-minded people in IT work there, or used to. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

The company appears to be in a constant state of reorganization, creating ongoing uncertainty about job security and contributing to low employee morale. This lack of stability has led to confusion, shifting priorities, and an overall lack of focus, which is reflected in the high turnover currently seen within the IT organization. This is especially disappointing because the company was once known for attracting and retaining IT professionals who built long, successful careers there. Leadership appears to lack a clear, unified vision, and that disconnect starts at the highest levels of the organization. Compared with the previous CEO, who despite his shortcomings was widely respected and viewed as an approachable leader, the current leadership feels much more removed from employees. There was once a stronger sense that executives understood and were connected to the day-to-day experiences of the workforce. Today, that connection feels significantly diminished, leaving many employees with the impression of a growing divide between the C-suite and the people doing the work. Honestly, it's quite sad what has happened to Cambia.
