Pros

Let me start by saying, claims is not for everyone. It is fast paced, sometimes complicated, and you have to have a thick skin as sometimes people get upset at you no matter how well you try to treat them. That said, I've worked for other insurance companies and CIG is hands down the best one. The company really tries to create a life/work balance. The sick time/kincare time is incredible. They are one of the only claims organizations that gives ALL employees a pretty decent bonus (usually around 5%) when the company is profitable. The employee stock program is truly amazing. It works out to be around 40-50% of your salary being put into your retirement every year. Adjusters who have been with the company for 10 years have over a million dollars in their retirement account already. You can't beat that. It's also one of the only claims organizations that offers a lot of opportunities for advancement. There are a number of different levels of adjuster and all come with pay increases. Most companies make these lateral moves. Management really cares about creating career development plans for those who want one. The goals are clear and achievable. Every single goals is well with in your control. I've worked for a lot of other companies where the measurements are often outside of your control. If you work hard, you are rewarded.

Cons

If you are not interested in claims, this is not the place for you. Claims is not for everyone. Understand what a claims job is before you apply for one. Claims are complicated and there isn't always a clear black and white answer. That bothers people sometimes. Also, training for some of the more introductory positions is pretty good but as a smaller company, some of the more advanced training is less structures so it takes someone who wants to learn.
