Pros
Benefit Package, Flexible Schedule, Business Hours. That says it all. The company provides a discount on the Health Insurance (PPO w/ high deductible) with the participation of the Wellness Program (for prevention). Additionally, the company provides a Health Savings Account (HSA) and they contribute $1,000 in it each year and they match every contribution throughout the year up to a maximum of $2,000 I believe. They offer Kin Care (when you call in sick but due to your kids being sick or you have to take your kids/spouse/parent to a medical appt); You can also do Makeup Time. Plenty of Overtime; 2 Floating Holidays a year (16hrs); Employee Stock Ownership. Promotion can occur within 7 months of being hired. Yearly performance reviews & raises.
Cons
Pay is too low. They say they pay according to the cost of living in Bakersfield, but it is too low to retain employees. First Party Auto Adjuster's turnover rate is extremely high. The highest pay is $18/hr for someone who has been with the company for many years, while the average pay for a new auto adjuster ranges between $12-13/hr. The average Third Party Auto Adjusters (most were promoted from First Party Auto), make just under $16/hr The Lowest paid person makes just over $9/hr (hired years ago). While they do give people raises, it is only a few cents worth on your hourly pay.
