Pros

- training was thorough, sufficient, and helpful - great they give opportunities to those with no previous experience - reimbursement for gas - 401k available for part time employees - very flexible - you give them your availability, they give you options for hours; sessions only 2-3 hours - often very rewarding, you develop great relationships with kids

Cons

- they don't seem at all selective in hiring process, basically anyone with a high school degree is qualified - many behavior technicians cared very little about the role - high employee turnover rate - low pay for behavior technicians, approx $11/hour - kids can be challenging at times - must be patient - senior therapists seemed to have a high workload and resulted in limited supervision during sessions

Pros

- Consistent opportunities for growth - Willing to help you get RBT certified quickly - Willing to hire pretty much anyone (see cons too)

Cons

- Extremely high turnover and burnout rate - Unspoken expectation to 'just tough it out' or leave - Poor management at the time (and high turnover of management/BCBAs too) - Constant drama/'tea' between employees - Numerous firings due to employees abusing clients or constantly calling in 'sick' and messing up everybody else's schedules for the day
