Pros
The pay was exactly what i needed and they were quick to give me a raise and a new client right after my probationary period ended. The resources for training are great, and it was never difficult to get an answer to a question. The benefits were also really nice, and most of my coworkers were nice too.
Cons
Some of the coworkers were downright rude or dismissive when trying to get help with a customer, and as much as the company tells you they care, sometimes it was hard to feel it. A customer called me the F word, but it happened after the call ended so there was no script to fall back on. When i asked Quality Monitoring how to handle a situation like that, they literally told me there was nothing i could do, but they were nice enough to give me ideas on how to cope. A coworker of mine had a customer keep calling her the N word, and she got coached by another black person for reacting the wrong way. I understand why they don't do anything at all when the customers are abusive, but it's a really awful feeling to get called a slur, and have absolutely no consequences for the customer. I can't imagine what it feels like to repeatedly get called a racial slur, and then have a member of your own race try to explain to you why you still needed to be polite and professional. I'm working for an employer again that would never pay me what CardWorks did, but at least i don't have to worry about just coping when someone calls me a slur.
