Pros
Carevet let's individual hospitals have a lot of say in how they run their practices which is not easy to find! DVMs have much more freedom compared to most other veterinary corporations. Pay is pretty decent, corporate is very supportive and most of important, this job is very rewarding and fulfilling! It's definitely worth it working here if you're up for the challenge and personal growth.
Cons
It is a lot of work and responsibility. Balancing revenue, labor, and the budget can be challenging especially with last minute cancellations and unforeseen circumstances. It's hard to have enough of a budget to reward team members and to update the building. Of course, being vet med, it can be mentally taxing witnessing suffering pets.
