EMS was mentally abusive regarding some of the shift supervisors, if you speak your mind you are rewarded with degrading remarks. If you breathe wrong someone will say something. Sexual harassment is not punished with more than a slap on the wrist. Work place bullying is punished with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. HR is useless, emergency nursing supervisor (who has NO experience in EMS) does not know how EMS works, no where near competitive pay. Save your sanity and do not work in the EMS department. If you want to go back to school, best of luck because I was refused to be able to go back to school twice. Was told I would be reimbursed by old management and that never happened. Had to pay a toll with my money and was told I would be reimbursed by old management and that never happened.
