It can be draining due to staffing issues but it was not always bad. Some days were laid back and you got to complete your work without interruption. Other days everything would be hectic, you’d be doing tons of work by yourself and people would be rude to you for no reason. It’s also super hard to switch to another department. It’s all about who you know. Depending on what department you’re trying to switch from, you may not even get a fair chance.
