Pros

My team was great, got to do some fun thing, pay was good, benefits were decent

Cons

- Management is TERRIBLE, priorities constantly shifting, no one in upper leadership has a vision or a unique thought - Relied too heavily on designs opinion, the design team would influence marketing strategy - Some middle management leaders literally are there for the clout and have no vision - VERY CULTISH, like the people who have been there for years have definitely drank the koolaid therefore do not push back in directives that make NO business sense - The people who get recognized and promoted are the ones closest to upper leadership, if you have a bad manager who doesn't uplift you or your team, you are literally invisible - poor cross functional comms - NO ONE IN DESIGN HAS EXPERIENCE IN MAKING ACTUAL CAMPAIGNS!!! They are there just to influence creative to fit their own style - Onboarding was a joke, there wasn't even a brand book, would get critique I need to learn the brand voice, but yet no documentation on what it was, so how would I learn. Was purely based on vibes

Pros

Accrued PTO pretty quickly, lax job environment (cursing is fine on Slack, for example), loved my teammates. GREAT salary and benefits, which is the only reason I've scored 2 stars instead of 1.

Cons

We were constantly subject to the whims of Jack Dorsey with company-wide ramifications and minimal basis in reality (if you've ever watched Glass Onion, he feels like Ed Norton's character). The different verticals do not communicate with each other, often resulting in duplicative or contradictory work processes. Some teams have superiority complexes over others, which results in a hostile work environment and impedes collaboration. The company is leaning fully into AI without caring about the environmental or people impact (case in point: 4000 people being laid off for an AI tool that still is not working correctly). Upper management won't spend money to license/invest in useful tools, leaving lower agents to rely on Google for sources of truth or outright refusing to serve certain communities because it's too much hassle to accommodate them.
