There is no real office space, and staff are expected to travel between three houses each week while conducting therapeutic work in settings that do not consistently allow for privacy or continuity. Sessions often require negotiating space day to day, which makes it difficult to create a stable therapeutic environment. A significant amount of time is spent trying to engage clients and documenting those outreach efforts, which adds to the workload without always moving care forward. The role also involves a great deal of time managing logistics and adapting to whatever space is available, rather than practicing in a structured clinical setting. Staff are expected to manage direct care, crisis response, documentation, care coordination, scheduling, and compliance responsibilities within the same workday, which is often not realistic. The documentation burden is substantial and can interfere with therapeutic work.
