Pros
Great Experience. You will learn a ton about individual business owners and employees alongside even more information about yourself and life in general. Experience not to be traded for anything. Fun, entertaining co-workers. Freedom to write your own schedule.
Cons
Misleading expectations from management. LONG hours for not enough pay. Not sure how the other branches ran but the Reston branch was very late in their commission payout, which translated into a lot of work for little or delayed pay. Micromanaging was in full effect for some managers. The branch was still in ramp up which means it didn't have a solid foundation like the other branches may have by now, but with the amount of turnover in employees they should have fixed the problem by now. Sales model is extensive and only amounts to price at the end of your efforts. Competing with big names, alot bigger than you. Bad reviews of Cbeyond online will kill deals. All of this amounting to probably one of the hardest sales positions you will ever come across. Worth it for the challenge and the "pros" but if you're putting your work in but not making money you're going to be miserable.
