Pros
The pros were that I had decent pay, good benefits, free snacks, and some company paid off site events. The majority of the people I worked with were cool and good people. However, there were some bad ones that I will describe.
Cons
- I worked under someone who was definitely unqualified for their position. (Everyone else was a pleasure to work with.) They created a very toxic work environment with trying to sabotage people by badmouthing them and getting them fired. They gave no guidance, no ideas for improving inefficiencies in the processes, and no structure whatsoever. Literally only one person made my time there extremely unpleasant. - I was thrown to the wolves and had to figure out everything on my own. -We had a lot of meetings that never really led to anything productive. -No effective plans were created for the lower level employees to help grow or develop -People that actually brought value to the company were treated poorly over others who didn't really bring value. (Politics and Nepotism) -I learned how not to run a sales team. -At the time, Microsoft CRM was used and it was very slow and inefficient. They were transitioning to Salesforce before I left.
